I watched Zero Dark Thirty last night. It was thrilling and disturbing. Seeing Jennifer Ehle in a big supporting role was great; it's a pity her character was killed off.

I participated in a trivia contest tonight and my team won. My knowledge of US history was a significant factor. The contest was nice distraction from my current familial duties.

I had a nice date on Monday at the MFA. Her name is Amy and she teaches English as a second language in Brockton. She is sweet and witty. I told her that I would like to see her again. She said she would have to think about it. That does not sound promising, but I still hope.

My mom turned 75 today. I took her to dinner at Palmer's this evening. The food was excellent. :)

It was 80 degrees today and yesterday! Winter has given spring a miss and gone straight into summer. The weekend should be cooler though.

A week ago the air was freezing cold. Today the temperature was seventy degrees.

I just watched Drive and found it underwhelming. The action scenes were well choreographed, but the lead up was boring. Christina Hendricks had a small role; sadly her character was killed off.

Here at home the furnace has died and can't be replaced until Monday.     :(

I watched Beginners this evening. Although the movie was well acted, and Christopher Plummer was deserving of his Oscar award, I thought it was mostly boring.

On another note, the weather is snowy for a change.
